Modern Body Festival believes in the importance of re-invented, disused sites in the forming of collectives and grassroots cultural activities in the Netherlands. We work with repurposed, reused locations, allowing ourselves to be influenced and inspired by the buildings and their histories.
\nThis year we work with a variety of historical buildings throughout the city. We are very pleased to introduce our four very special locations as the main venues for our 2nd biennial edition:<\/p>\n

<\/a>Theater De Nieuwe Regentes
\n– <\/span><\/strong>2 & 3 December 2016 –<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"Theater<\/p>\n

The beautiful building that houses the theater De Nieuwe Regentes<\/a> dates from 1920. It once housed the largest indoor swimming pool and baths in Europe. In 1996 the old swimming pool was redeveloped into a theater with a tearoom, two foyers, and 5 halls: De Grote Zaal (the former swimming pool hall), De Kleine Zaal (the former wading pool), Het Ketelhuis (the former boiler room), Het Diepe (the basin of the former pool) and De Studio. De Nieuwe Regentes functions as a neighborhood theater for the Regentessekwartier, with a broad mix of community, local and international programming in a warm and casual setting.<\/p>\n
