Modern Body Festival is proud to present the Dutch Premiere of ‘Vibration’, a new work by Rita Góbi & Ryuji Yamaguchi.
NOV 3 | PERFORMANCE EVENT | DE NIEUWE REGENTES
A futuristic physical performance exploring cosmic energies
Vibration, a collaboration between Rita Góbi (HU) and Ryuji Yamaguchi (JP), is a physical poetry of the live body that explores attraction, repulsion, and irregular rhythms. Burning in the colors of red and orange, and trapped within a circular magnetic field, two figures vibrate in tension until the heart tears apart. They travel slowly in red space like cosmic bodies trying to find their path. They seek heat to evade the fear of mortality and find themselves in orbit around a black sun. The slower and more irregular they move, the more power they emanate.

BIOS
Rita Góbi (RS/HU) is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. Her choreographies are based on intuition and experimentation, but are precisely constructed by repetitive, miniature movements and grotesque, distorted elements that slowly and consequently transform into a different state. Her way of creation is analytical, futuristic, tight. Born in Novi Sad, Serbia, and currently based in Budapest, Hungary, Rita started her career as a dancer with several companies (Ballet Pécs, Réka Szabó’s Company – The Symptoms, Éva Duda Company, L1 Dance Association) and with film director Miklós Jancsó. In 2006 she founded Góbi Dance Company.
