Modern Body Festival proudly presents the Dutch premiere of EYESect by The Constitute!
OCT 26-28 | EXHIBITION | THE GREY SPACE IN THE MIDDLE
A playful wearable which allows users to experience different types of vision.
Making its Dutch debut, EYESect by The Constitute is a playful artwork that visitors can wear to disembody their sense of vision. Using cameras attached at the end of two ‘eyes’ that can be disconnected from an oversized helmet and moved autonomously by the wearer, the work causes disorientation and a total confusion in coordination, highlighting the interconnectivity of our senses. This alien will be released throughout the city in public spaces during the exhibition days, popping up at cafes, shops, on the street, inviting spontaneous, disorienting and playful interactions with the residents of the city.

BIO
The Constitute is a design and research studio based in Berlin/Dresden and run by Christian Zöllner and Sebastian Piatza. By combining artistic and scientific practices The Constitute creates interactive experiences for the public space. Founded in early 2012, arose from the VR/urban media art collective, The Constitute workes with several international partners and exhibited their works worldwide. Fields of work contain Design Development, New Media Art, Design Research, Interactive Installations, Social Design and Design Fiction. Beside the design studio activities The Constitute runs its own non-profit organisation to realize social sustainable projects in rural and decentralized areas in Europe.
